Pause when the evidence is thin

Do not trust hype alone
Words such as “best,” “must buy,” “safe,” or “top find” express confidence without showing the basis for it. Popularity can explain why a row gets attention, but it cannot replace dimensions, current photos, source relevance, seller information, or a fair comparison.
If the row would become uninteresting after removing the adjective, look for evidence before you keep it. A practical label names the category, an important detail, or the remaining question.
Photos should answer questions
Useful photos cover the details that could change your decision. Shoes need profile, outsole, heel, toe, and size context. Bags need closures, interior, dimensions, straps, and hardware. Clothing needs front, back, seams, measurements, and decoration details.
A large image count is not enough when every photo avoids the same issue. QC photos help with visible characteristics; they do not prove durability, material composition, future fulfillment, or seller conduct.
Sizing matters more than popularity
Do not treat S, M, L, or a shoe number as universal. Check the measurement unit, the method used, and whether the chart belongs to the current listing and variation. Compare with an item you own and understand instead of choosing only from a familiar label.
Missing measurements should lower a row's score when fit matters. A popular link does not reduce the cost or difficulty of a poor fit.
Price needs context
A low price can reflect a different material, included quantity, size, variation, condition, or simply an incomplete listing view. Compare the live variation selected on each page. Check whether the rows include the same parts and answer the same questions.
Price is most useful after category, photos, sizing, and source relevance are reasonably comparable. Before that point, it can distort the shortlist.
Shipping weight changes the real decision
Heavy or bulky items can reorder a shortlist once packaging and parcel size are considered. Do not assume an item-only weight equals the final packed weight, and do not treat a calculator as a promise.

External links need checking
A spreadsheet row may continue to exist after a seller edits, replaces, redirects, or removes the destination. Compare the live page with the row every time. Check the item type, images, variation, price, seller or source context, and any measurement or specification details.

Red flags worth removing
- The row title is persuasive but the live page lacks basic category details.
- The destination no longer matches the image, product type, or source named in the sheet.
- Photos repeat one angle and avoid the details that could expose a problem.
- A size-sensitive item has no usable measurements or the unit is unclear.
- Price comparisons use different variations, quantities, or included parts.
- Weight, bulk, packaging, compatibility, or restrictions are ignored where they matter.
- A coupon, payment, login, refund, tracking, or support claim appears outside an official channel.
- The row asks you to act quickly but gives no evidence-based reason.

Keep comparison rows together
Judgment improves when the category and included parts are similar.
Date your notes
External pages change. A date shows when your observation was made.
Name the evidence
Write “measurement image” instead of “looks reliable.”
Name the gap
“Packed weight unknown” is an actionable note; silence is not.
Use official support
Account, order, payment, refund, coupon, tracking, and shipping questions belong there.
